Town Meeting on the KillingworthTown Hall Addition to be held July 17
The Town Hall addition project will come before a Town Meeting on July 17 for discussion, and a referendum on July 24 for a decision by the voters.
Now that the Board of Finance has approved, by a vote of 5-0, the appropriation of $3.5 million for the cost of the Town Hall Addition Project, the next step is a Town Meeting, to be held on July 17, at 7:00 p.m., at the Killingworth Elementary School. A referendum will follow on July 24, also at KES.
The meeting will be another opportunity to learn about the proposed project. The only item to be put to a vote on the 17th will be whether to extend the hours of the July 24 referendum to open the polls at 6:00 a.m.
