Ziobron 2012 Around East Haddam!

These photos were taken on Saturday-September 15th. The first set were taken at the East Haddam/East Hampton Relay for Life! As of Sunday morning they had raised $30,000! Great job everyone! I was especially proud to participate in the opening lap and support my friends who had pitched a tent to stay overnight. You can find ways to support the Relay for Life all year long here.

Second set of photos were taken at the 16th Annual Venture Smith Day, celebrated in East Haddam. Our local historian Karl Stofko has done an amazing job putting this together, every year. Now--our local 6th graders participate in their event and have done so for a few years. For more info on Venture, check out this site.

Last photo was taken at the Summer Harvest Dinner, where we were able to feast on smoked bluefish, blue crabs, mako shark, chowders and obviously--the poor guy pictured above. Put on by the Moodus Sportsman Club, it is always a delicious meal! Check theirblog for additional events and if you have not been to one of their dinners--you are missing out!! Congrats to all the guys who worked all day to put on such a great feast.
