“I am very proud of the hard work and dedication of our town boards, commissions and employees in preparing this budget. The Boards of Education, Finance and Selectmen worked cooperatively to put forth a lean budget that protects the needs of our town, the education of our children and is fiscally responsible focusing on our long range goals,” Walter said.
The $28.9 million budget represents $8,917,631 in general government spending, down $462,897, or 4.93 percent from this year’s budget. It also includes an education budget of $18,343,633. School spending would increase $267,952, or 1.48 percent under the budget proposal.
