New England Office Elevates Courtright to Principal


The New England office of Burns & McDonnell has promoted Chris Courtright of Killingworth to Principal. Courtright was one of two employee-owners in the Northeast region in 2013 to be promoted to the prestigious Principal level.

Over the past nine years, Courtright has held a number of senior leadership roles repeatedly demonstrating his ability to lead large project teams to success.

Courtright has quickly risen through the ranks of the employee-owned Burns & McDonnell organization demonstrating strong performance and leadership on some of the industry’s largest and most complex projects including the Middletown-Norwalk Project in Southwest Connecticut, The Greater Springfield Reliability Project in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut, the Maine Power Reliability Program and the Susquehanna-Roseland Projects in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In his role as Principal, Courtright will also serve as Regional Construction Operations Manager for the Construction Design-Build division of the New England office. His responsibilities include direct supervision of a field staff of 100+ professionals including construction managers, superintendents, safety specialists, procurement staff and project managers spanning multiple major projects throughout the Northeast.

Courtright is a resident of Killingworth, CT., and holds Bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering and Natural Resources Management from University of Tennessee and a Masters in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla.
