The annual Goods &amp; Services Auction will be held on Friday, April 24th at the Higganum United Methodist Church, 248 Saybrook Road in Higganum. Preview starts at 6:00 pm. Live Auction begins at 7:00 pm. FREE ADMISSION.
Auction items include Tickets for the Essex Steam Train, Sturbridge Village, Yard Goats, Kid City, plus gift cards to restaurants &amp; grocery stores, and a cord of wood. Gardening, USA, and Kitchen Baskets will also be available to bid on. Door prizes, a silent auction and a snack bar will top off Friday’s event.

Moodus Cemetery, off of North Moodus Rd

The East Haddam/Moodus VFW Post 3336 'Cemetery Troopers' are hosting a FREE cemetery preservation workshop at the Moodus Cemetery (off of North Moodus Rd) on Saturday, April 25th from 9am-2pm (rain or shine).&nbsp; Learn about proper methods for cleaning, re-setting, and repairing gravestones. This is a hands-on workshop and participation by attendees is encouraged! Please dress accordingly. Pizza will be provided for lunch. Questions, contact Eric: 860-949-5876.
