30th Anniversary Quilt & Needle Arts Show

The tradition continues this Columbus Day weekend with the 30th Anniversary Quilt and Needle Arts Show at First Church of Christ in East Haddam. Set inside the church’s historic 1794 Meetinghouse, the show will feature distinctive textile works of art, including one-of-a-kind quilts and needle art pieces. Visitors can browse the latest offerings from our wonderful vendors, shop the First Church boutique, and enjoy homemade soups and pies in the café.

Featured Saturday Presentation -Join us Saturday at 11:00 a.m. for a special presentation by Susi Ryan, Fiber Artist, Author, Speaker, Historical Interpreter, and Sustainable Food Grower. Her talk, The Healing Qualities of Quilt Making, explores the medical, physical, and spiritual benefits of quilt making, along with the history of textiles and natural dyes, including indigo.

Raffle Prizes -Be sure to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of four prizes: First prize: the 30th anniversary queen-size quilt, “Garden Block Party”, $500 Shagbark gift card, $150 Shell gift card, $75 Stitch Chicks gift card. The raffle drawing will take place at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 11.
