Come See the Running of the…Volvos?

Volvo Club of America is holding a rally on Saturday.

When you hear the word “rally” you probably think of protesters, or maybe a group of motorcycle riders. But this Saturday in the Haddams, you can experience a different kind of rally—the Volvo Club of America - Southern New England Chapter’s Fall Fun Rally.

The Volvo Club of America was founded in the early 80s as a volunteer organization for Volvo owners, enthusiasts, collectors and restorers. Members get together to show off their cars, share tips and stories, and have some fun.

The rally is scheduled to begin with coffee and a driver/navigator briefing at 11 a.m. at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Bridge Street (Route 82) in Haddam. It will be broken into two one-hour segments, ending with a light lunch at The Lake House Restaurant, 81 North Main Street, East Haddam, at 1 p.m.

This is a beginner rally. All Volvo owners from any chapter of the club are welcome. Spectators may enjoy the event, too.
