Connecticut Spring Antiques Show

Celebrating its 41st year, the Connecticut Spring Antiques Show is returning to the historic Hartford Armory on March 22 and 23, 2014.  The Haddam Historical Society presents this “grand dame” of New England antiques shows, which is a platform for authentic American furniture made prior to the advent of mass-production and for decorative arts including paintings, folk art, pottery, porcelain, glass, silver, pewter, brass, iron, textiles, and other accessories of high quality.  The Hartford Armory, formally known as the Connecticut State Amory, is a magnificent landmark that “provides a grandeur and ambience few if any other venues can offer.”  It is the perfect location to view the outstanding quality antiques for the facility brims with natural light and has a majestic atmosphere that both dealers and visitors find awe–inspiring.

Year after year, the show attracts serious buyers, supports new collectors, and brings both together with knowledgeable dealers who share a passion for period American antiques and decorative arts.  The show has earned a reputation not only as a destination show with quality merchandise but also as an educational experience for visitors. A number of the dealers have been exhibiting with the Connecticut Spring Antiques Show since its beginning in 1973, and most are returning participants.  Booth chats are scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday this year, and the Haddam Historical Society will feature an exhibit on historic coverlets.
