Criminal Violation of a Protective Order, DUI, Threatening and Disorderly Conduct
East Haddam area police activity reports.

The East Haddam Police and the Connecticut State Police, Troop K report the following incidents:
DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND THREATENING - On Aug. 17 at 7:00 p.m., Edward Cannady, 47, of 3 Red Mill Lane, Moodus, was arrested for the above charges as a result of a domestic violence incident. Cannady was processed and later released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 8/18/11.
CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER - On Aug. 18 at 12:25 p.m., Edward Cannady, 47, of 3 Red Mill Lane, Moodus, was arrested for the above charges after violating his conditions of release from Troop K, related to his August 17th arrest for disorderly conduct and threatening. Cannady was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and given a court date of 8/19/11.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF AND LARCENY - On Aug. 18, State Police were assigned to investigate a vehicle at a West Road, East Haddam residence that had been broken into. Unknown person(s) entered the property sometime between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., breaking a rear window on a 2001 Honda Accord and taking an estimated ten to fifteen dollars in loose change. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have possible information that could help police in the investigation of this case is asked to contact TFC Laboy at the Connecticut State Police, Troop K at 860-537-7500, ext.# 4060.
FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT - On Aug. 20 at 7:40 p.m., David Seaquist, 19, of 103 North Moodus Road, Moodus, was located by police at his residence, based on an active warrant for his arrest for 2nd-degree failure to appear in court. Seaquist was taken into custody without incident, processed at Troop K and later released on a $1,000 cash bond. He was given a court date of 8/30/11 at Middlesex Superior Court.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS - On Aug. 22 at 9:04 p.m., East Haddam Police were dispatched to investigate the complaint of a vehicle operating erratically while traveling along Route 149 in East Haddam. Upon arrival, police observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lane of travel and initiated a stop in the area of Landing Hill Road. Mary Taylor, 43, of 20 Holly Lane, Wallingford, failed the standardized sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to drive upon the right. Taylor was transported to Troop K, processed and later released on a $500 non-surety bond, and scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court in Middletown on 9/7/11.
