Democratic Slate Ready For The Polls
Haddam Democratic Town Committee prepares for the 2011 Election Year.
At their recent meeting and caucus, the Haddam Democratic Town Committee finalized their slate for the 2011 campaign.
The first selectman candidate, Peter Arsenault, who is currently serving as a selectman, feels as a retired Department of Transportation employee he will be able to adeptly deal with Haddam’s new transfer station, scheduled to be completed by next summer.
Arsenault also plans to update the town website so it is more interactive. Currently, he has been sending meeting dates, agendas and unofficial meeting minutes to those on an extensive email list who wish to be informed of town events.

Arsenault stresses he wants to reach out to the disenfranchised voters and let them know they have a voice.
Other projects he would like to focus on are cleaning up the water in Tylerville, lowering taxes and instituting more efficient office management.

When asked what makes him different than the Republican candidate, Arsenault feels he is a hands-on person. “Leaders lead from the front not the back,” he says.
