Dog Escapes After Car Accident in Haddam

Firefighters responded to two accidents on Monday, August 17. Star the dog is still missing after one of the accidents.

The Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to two car accidents Monday, August 17. The first occurred near Dunkin’ Donuts on Saybrook Road at 10:30 a.m.

Three vehicles were involved in the accident, and one driver was transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance. A dog named Star, who was riding in one of the vehicles, escaped and is still on the loose. If seen, please call 860-614-9337.

The second accident (pictured) occurred just after 10 p.m. on Brault Hill Road. A driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.

Both the driver and passenger were taken to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance with minor injuries. Both accidents are under investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
