Driver Loses Control of Car, Hits Stone Wall and Tree
Haddam firefighters responded to the Oct. 19 accident and also responded to a gas spill later that evening.
Haddam Volunteer Fire Company firefighters responded to a car accident on Killingworth Road, slightly north of Burr Road, at 4 p.m. Oct. 19.
“A driver heading southbound on Killingworth Road lost control of his vehicle and struck a stone wall and tree,” firefighters said. “The driver was transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Ambulance Service.”

At 7:20 p.m., Haddam Fire responded to a gas spill, also on Killingworth Road, near the Route 9 on-ramp. There, firefighters assisted a driver who had a leaking gas line and covered the area with sand.
