Driver Loses Control of Truck on Exit 9 Ramp

The rainy conditions contributed to the accident, according to the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company.

The Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident at 5:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, on the Exit 9 northbound on ramp from Killingworth Road.

“In rainy, wet road conditions, a driver lost control of her vehicle, struck a guard rail and went over the embankment.,” firefighters said. “The driver was transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service with minor injuries. In addition to closing the ramp to traffic, Haddam firefighters assisted the tow truck service with removing the vehicle from the steep embankment. ”
