Driver Taken to Hospital after Colliding with Tree in Haddam
The tree fell across Little City Road, closing it for approximately one hour Monday morning.

One driver was taken to Hartford Hospital after his vehicle collided with a tree Monday morning, officials said.
At approximately 7 a.m., the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a single vehicle crash into a tree on Little City Road near Valley Shore Drive, according to Haddam Fire Public Information Liaison Jesse Drake.

The tree fell across Little City Road, closing it for approximately one hour. The male driver was alone in the vehicle and was extracted using Hurst® hydraulic equipment.
The patient was transported to Hartford Hospital via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. First Responders were assisted on the scene by a Middlesex Hospital paramedic and Haddam Public Works personnel.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
