State Police Troop F Westbrook Reports Haddam Arrests Through March 11

The Connecticut State Police, Troop F Westbrook, reports the following:

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES — On March 11 at 1:12 a.m., Joseph A. Roberto, 21, of Scenic View Drive, Deep River, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 154 southbound in Haddam. A search revealed marijuana and paraphernalia in the car.

FAILURE TO YIELD AT AN INTERSECTION — On March 8 at 4:39 p.m., Robyn Rataic, 30, of Stage Harbor Road, Marlborough, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt north on Saybrook Road at the intersection of Boulder Dell Road in Higganum. Paula Hattwig, 59, of Boulder Dell Road, Higganum, was traveling south on Saybrook in a 2003 Buick Century when Hattwig attempted to turn left into Boulder Dell, traveling into the path of the Chevy. The Buick struck the left side of the Chevy, then struck a utility pole off the right shoulder of the road. Rataic was transported to Middlesex Hospital with chest pain. Hattwig was issued an infraction.

FAILURE TO MAINTAIN LANE — On March 7 at 10:28 p.m., Christine Defusco, 39, of Church Hill Road, Haddam, was driving a 2004 Audi A6 eastbound on Church Hill Road, 100 meters west of Route 154 in Haddam, when she lost control of the car, swerved into a ditch off the right side of the road and drove into a snow pile. She continued to drive east on Church Hill and lost control of the car again, striking a sign off the right side of the road about 500 yards from the first collision. She then turned around and drove home. Defusco was released on a written promise to appear in Middletown court March 22.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, ILLEGAL USE OF A CREDIT CARD — Dylan A. Miller, 19, of Rock Landing Road, Haddam Neck, was arrested on an arrest warrant Jan. 20 at 7:11 p.m. He is scheduled to appear in Middletown court March 22.
