HADDAM, CT - A portion of Route 81 in Haddam is expected to be shut down for a number of hours after a dump truck crashed and caught fire, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.Route 81 was reported closed Thursday at 1:37 p.m. at Soobitsky Road because of a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned dump truck. The location of the crash is less than a mile away from Haddam-Killingworth High School.The fire was knocked down by firefighters just before 1:30 p.m., and the truck driver <a href="http://www.middletownpress.com/general-news/20161201/dump-truck-crash-shuts-down-route-81-in-haddam" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">suffered minor injuries in the crash</a>, according to the Middletown Press.
