East Haddam and Haddam Neck Assist in Portland Fire
Extensive fire and water damage to Breezy Corners Road home.
An early-morning fire on Wednesday destroyed a single-family home on Breezy Corners Road in Portland.
According to Fire Chief Robert Shea in a story on Courant.com, the home sustained extensive fire and water damage. The fire began in an in-law apartment located above the garage.

Middletown and Glastonbury provided mutual aid. Tankers from Glastonbury, East Hampton, East Haddam, Westfield and Haddam Neck responded to supply water.
