East Haddam GOP Endorses Coutu

The local town committee joins Coventry in backing Chris Coutu for Congress.

The Chris Coutu for Congress campaign today announced the endorsement of the East Haddam Republican Town Committee and the Coventry Republican Town Committee.

Former East Haddam RTC Chairman Bryan Perry said, "Chris has a record of working hard to bring some fiscal common sense to government.  He has gone toe-to-toe with the Hartford establishment and worked hard to reign in an out-of-controI state government.  I'm confident that Chris will shake things up in Washington and bring that same common sense attitude to Congress."

Joan Oros, Coventry RTC chairwoman said, "Chris Coutu's dedication to his country is seen in his 17 years of service in the Air Force and Army National Guard.  We are proud to stand with Chris while he  is in on assignment with the National Guard.  Congress is missing real leadership and dedication to this country.  Chris is going to Washington to change that."

Coutu campaign manager Chris Covucci said, “That Chris can continue to build support across eastern Connecticut even while he is on his training assignment with the National Guard reflects the strength of his campaign.  Joe Courtney has been part of an out-of-control Congress for years.  Courtney thinks we can tax, borrow and spend our way out this recession.  The result of that thinking is high unemployment and rising gas prices.  Its time for a change."
