East Haddam Resident Considers Run for Public Office
Melissa Ziobron, former municipal employee, community volunteer and business advocate, forms exploratory committee.

Friends and Neighbors,
I am so excited to announce that I have formed an exploratory committee - Ziobron 2012 - as a first step in "testing the waters" to run for public office. I will make the decision to run for a seat in the Connecticut General Assembly over the next several weeks. The prospect of representing my hometown and adjoining towns would be an honor and a privilege.
As a former municipal employee, community volunteer and business advocate, I am keenly aware of the issues facing small local municipalities. Witnessing firsthand how our small businesses struggle to meet payroll and sympathizing with friends who are looking for jobs. Our elected officials must be focused on the future of our State, our economy, creating good jobs for working families and tightening the reigns of State spending. Sadly, this has not been the case.
Recently, I began a blog focused on what is going on around the East Haddam area and around the State. Follow me there: melissaziobron.blogspot.com . Also, feel free to contact me via email at mziobron101@gmail.com
With Appreciation,
Melissa Hoy Ziobron
