Esty Admits Land Swap Process Was "Not a Good One"
In an interview with Connecticut Public Radio's Colin McEnroe the DEEP commissioner defends his position on the land swap but says "I made mistakes."

In perhaps his lengthiest interview to date on the subject, Daniel C. Esty, commissioner of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, defended his role in the controversial Haddam land swap issue and appeared to blame the General Assembly for the way the land deal played out. He also again said the proposal to swap away 17 acres of state-owned land in Tylerville for a private development did not represent a "top tier" environmental issue for his agency.
