It’s that time of the year. It’s time for Family Night on Moodus Green!
Join your friends and neighbors as the entire East Haddam community rings in the holiday season. Sing carols and visit the local organizations around Moodus Green for presents, food, and fun!
Family Night begins at 6:00 with Moodus Fife & Drum Corps, a Fire Engine, and Santa Claus marching to Moodus Green in the annual Family Night Christmas Parade. Then there will be a Community Carol Sing, followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony with newly re-elected First Selectman, Mark Walter.

Afterwards, the locations around the green will be hosting present giveaways, holiday treats, and fun events for all ages. Meet Santa Claus at the Amasa Day House hosted by East Haddam Youth & Family Services. Mrs. Claus will be greeting children at the East Haddam Library, and Frosty the Snowman will be keeping it cool at the Peddler’s Village. The East Haddam Preschool will be making Reindeer Food to leave out for Rudolph & friends and the Methodist Church will have Holiday Desserts for all ages.
All events will end by 8:00, so the kids will be able to go home and get a good night’s sleep to enjoy visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads before school in the morning.
