The MUSIC AT THE MEETINGHOUSE Winter Concert for this month features The Ernest Song Project. Written and performed by Michael Harris, guitar, and accompanied by Leslis Strauss, violin, Rodney Maxwell, guitar, and Chris Lennox, harmonica, these works explore man's unease and frustration with the way we treat our world and each other.
The concert is followed by a Reception and Art Show of local artists around the theme of peace and harmony through nature. This work can best be summed up by a quote from Gertrude Stein: "The artist's job is not to succumb to despair, but to find an anecedote for existence."
Also invited are representatives from local environmental groups to answer questions about sustainable living, alternative energy, land preservation, and community projects. All are welcome to come enjoy this early Spring event!!
