School Bullying-Rachel's Challenge-Community Event

East Haddam Youth & Family Services, Inc. and the Middle School Principal's Advisory Council present Rachel's Challenge.

Rachel’s Challenge was created to stop school violence and bullying.  The goal is to inspire those in attendance to treat others in more positive, empathetic ways.  The community event challenges adults to reinforce the positive decisions East Haddam youth are making.

Rachel Scott was the first victim of the 1999 Columbine shooting in Littleton, CO.  The mission of Rachel's Challenge is based on the writings that she left behind in her journals and other school essays and assignments as well as her many acts of kindness and compassion.
