ConnDOT is hosting a special celebration on Saturday, March 31 for all the ferry supporters who helped during the "Save The Ferries" campaign last summer.

A Special Invitation To All Ferry Godmothers and Godfathers!
The ferry is ready to begin its season of regular service crossing our beautiful Connecticut River carrying local residents, tourists, visitors to Gilette Castle, workmen and contractors, shoppers on their way to Chester, cyclists touring our bucolic countryside, hikers enjoying a day in the fresh air and all manner of vehicles.

Please email your friends and family to join us on this special 2012 First Crossing Celebration as we once again demonstrate our support of the Chester-Hadlyme Ferry and wish her a safe and successful season.
Bring your own refreshments. No alcohol permitted on board.
Though we have saved the ferry for this 2-year budget cycle, we must remain active in demonstrating our support.
See you on Saturday!
