Gillette Castle To Host Sherlock Holmes Event

EAST HADDAM, CT - Gillette Castle will host a viewing of William Gillette playing Sherlock Holmes Saturday Oct. 8. Tickets are $13. According to their website:

"Join us for a unique opportunity to view the only surviving appearance of William Gillette in his famed role as Sherlock Holmes! The restored 1916 silent film (originally done in a four-part serialized format) will be presented as a 2-hour feature film with English subtitles and music score. There will be a 20-minute intermission during each showing. There will be two showings- 12:30p.m. AND 3:30 p.m. SPACE IS LIMITED. Tickets only valid for show time purchased."
