Grassroots East Dinner

Grassroots East is hosting this dinner event on January 20th to honor the candidates who ran for First Selectman, Selectman, Mayor and Town Council from towns throughout the 2^nd CD for their willingness to run and serve the rest of us. 

Running for office is an awesome job and the purpose of the dinner is to thank these candidates for taking on this task.  Many won and some did not … this happens in all elections, but we want thank them ALL as they represent the core of the Republican Party in Eastern Connecticut and their efforts in November 2011 enhance our chances for success in November of 2012. 

The goal of Grassroots East on January 20^th is   to get our members and friends to get together to honor these candidates and to join us as in our effort to unite 2^nd District Republicans and elect a President, a Congressman and more members of the Connecticut General Assembly.

The public is invited you to join us at the Holiday Inn – Norwich, 10 Laura Blvd, at 6:00 for cocktails, followed by dinner at 7:00.  Tickets to this event are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. 

Presently we have 170 confirmed attendees and are expecting in excess of 200.

U. S. Senate Candidates Christopher Shays, Linda McMahon, Brian Hill and Kie Westby are confirmed to be in attendance and will meet one-on-one with voters.

Second Congressional Candidates Chris Coutu and Daria Novak will also be present to meet and greet those in attendance.

State Republican Party Chairman Jerry Labriola will be present to speak to the group and explain the Presidential Preference Poll being conducted this evening.  The State Republican Party is conducting this straw poll at the Grassroots East Event in Norwich and at Nuchie’s Restaurant in Bristol. Expected to attend are representatives from each of the Presidential Candidates who will be present to speak with the dinner attendees in support of their candidates.
