Haddam Fire Co. Responds to 2 Accidents in One Day
A fatal tractor-trailer accident on Route 9 North in Haddam and a second accident near the Route 9S on-ramp kept emergency personnel busy.

Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to two motor vehicle accidents this morning, Aug. 28.
The first accident was a fatal tractor trailer accident on Route 9 North in Haddam.

The second accident occurred at the intersection of Route 81 and the Route 9S on ramp at 8:20 a.m. A vehicle heading southbound on Route 81 struck a vehicle exiting Route 9.
One driver was transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Ambulance Service. The other driver was evaluated on scene and refused medical treatment. One lane of Route 81 was closed for about an hour.
