Haddam Fire Company to Host “Fill a Truck” to benefit CT Children's Medical Center
On Sunday, November 27, bring a new unwrapped toy to the fire station and experience a tour of a Haddam fire engine at the same time.

The Haddam Volunteer Fire Co. is hosting a fill-a-truck event on Sunday, November 27th. Between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm, members will be at the Higganum Green looking for un-wrapped toys for children. Those who donate the gifts may have a tour of the fire engine and place the gift inside the cab themselves. All toys collected will be given to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford.
“While the Fire Company does put on a Christmas Party for towns’ children, we felt it was also important to give something back to kids with serious medical problems,” said Haddam Volunteer Fire Co. Chief Gary Klare. All new un-wrapped toys for ages 2 through early teens will gladly be accepted, and then transported to the hospital in Hartford. A specific list of desired items can be found on the CT Children’s Medical Center website.
