Haddam Firefighter Returns Home After Battling California Blaze

Members of the Connecticut Fire Crew were fighting a fire that spanned approximately 32,000 acres.

Firefighter Dave Buckley of Haddam returned to Connecticut on Thursday, August 21, after battling a 32,000-acre blaze in California.

The 20-member crew consists of state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection employees and private-sector firefighters, The crew left Connecticut on August 4 and were sent to the Eiler Fire near Burney, California.
