Haddam Firefighters Battle Brush Fire
A brush fire broke out in Tylerville on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

A brush fire was reported this morning behind a fireplace store in Tylerville. At 5:30 a.m., members of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to the fire behind Fireworks Hearth & Home on Bridge Street.
The fire appears to have been sparked by embers left on a pile of leaves, approximately 30 feet away from a propane tank. Haddam firefighters extinguished the fire using the booster line from Engine 1-13.
