Haddam Police Arrest Hartford Man Suspected of Gun, Credit Card Theft
He is suspected of stealing items from vehicles overnight in July.
HADDAM, CT – A Hartford man is facing charges regarding recent thefts of guns and a credit card from unlocked cars, the Middletown Press reported.
Haddam troopers had been investigating two instances from July 3 in which several items were stolen from unlocked cars overnight on Turkey Hill Road, according to the Middletown Press. Items taken included a credit card and two firearms.
Alex Cruz, 18, was later caught on video surveillance at a convenience store, allegedly trying to use a stolen credit card, the Middletown Press reported. Cruz was arrested in Hartford, while police are investigating the possibility of his connection with other recent vehicle break-ins.
