Haddam Residents Approve $28.9 Million Budget
There were only a handful of no votes on the 2013-14 budget during the town meeting Wednesday evening.

Haddam residents approved on Wednesday a $28.9 million budget for the 2013-14 fiscal year.
According to The Middletown Press, only four people voted no in this town hall-style meeting that took place during the evening at the Haddam Fire Station No. 1. Roughly three-dozen residents and town officials showed up, the newspaper reported.
Spending is going up by 1.3 percent, or $403,976, compared to budget in the current fiscal year, meaning taxes will go up slightly.
