Haddam Says "Yes" to Code of Ethics
Residents approved the town's code of ethics at a recent public town meeting.

According to the Middletown Press, First Selectman Paul J. DeStefano described the passing of the ordinance "as both welcome and long overdue.”
Haddam town's website states regarding the ordinance, "the trust of the public in their elected and appointed officials is essential for government to function effectively."

The purpose of the code, as stated by the town, is to "establish suitable ethical standards for such individuals by prohibiting those acts not in the best interests of the Town of Haddam."
