The committee members of Project Graduation would like to publically thank Dino Meleounis, owner of Dino’s Pizza Restaurant in Higganum, for hosting a recent fundraiser on Tuesday, May 20th, to benefit Project Graduation.
The event included a buffet-style dinner, including a choice of three delicious entrees, appetizers, sides, salad, bread and beverages. Takeout meals were also available. Dino hosted this fundraiser on the night that he is usually closed, and donated a generous portion of the proceeds to Project Graduation! The fundraiser was a huge financial success, as well as a wonderful community event. The restaurant was staffed with volunteers, including two H-K alumni, two high school seniors, two high school juniors, as well as several Project Graduation committee members. Haddam-Killingworth’s Healthy Communities-Healthy Kids Coalition was also present to greet patrons, share information about their current initiatives and offer lawn signs which congratulate our 2014 graduates!
We want to recognize the effort Dino put forth to make this event possible and let him know how much we appreciate his generosity. We are so very grateful to Dino for his generous spirit and his willingness to help our communities whenever he is called upon, as he truly embodies the community spirit of working together for the benefit of many.

And, of course, a huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who came out to support our fundraiser and made it a tremendous success. As always, 100% of Project Graduation fundraising proceeds, community donations, and all volunteer efforts go directly to benefit our graduating seniors!
