Hootenanny with Ring of Fire
A sidebar about another aspect of the current Ivoryton Playhouse production you won't want to miss!!
When’s the last time you went to a musical and after the show the company played all the instruments and sang a hootenanny with audience and community members?!
Sure, the performers in are members of Actor’s Equity, but they’re also real musicians in the Americana music vein. True players love to play, onstage or not. And as an extra fun addition/extension of the show and community spirit raiser, everybody is invited along.
On Sundays (August 21, 28, Sept. 4) after the matinee performance (around 4:30 p.m.) the cast of the Ivoryton Playhouse-run of Ring of Fire host a down-home hootenanny at the Playhouse. Bring your voices, your instruments, your fiddles & your spoons – this is one cool way to celebrate the unmistakable joy of country music in your own back yard.
