Horse Saved from Mud by Haddam Volunteer Firefighters

After becoming trapped in the mud, a horse was saved by members of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company.

HADDAM, CT - Volunteer firefighters in Haddam were able to save a horse from the mud on Sunday, the Middletown Press reported.

First responders were able to remove the horse after it became enmired in mud during a trek in the Cockaponset State Forest, according to the Middletown Press. Members of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company said the mud near the Turkey Hill Reservoir was about three feet deep.

Trisha, a 27-year old horse, became trapped after her rider fell from the animal due to the mud, the Middletown Press reported. The horse was uninjured from the incident.
