I-Park Open Studios -- Meet the July Artists-In-Residence
Share an afternoon of art, nature, conversation and refreshments with I-Park's artists-in-residence.
The I-Park Foundation, an artist-in-residence program, invites you to enjoy an afternoon of art, nature and conversation with its July artists-in-residence on Sunday, August 9th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
I-Park, which is located on a 450-acre wooded artists’ retreat in East Haddam, CT, is both an open-air and a closed studio laboratory for individual creative pursuits in the fields of music composition/sound art, the visual arts, architecture, moving image, creative writing and landscape/garden/ecological design.
Each year I-Park accepts six artists for four-week residencies from April to December. Since it was founded in 2001 I-Park has hosted more than 600 artists. It also designs and sponsors specially-themed exhibitions and symposia for the purpose of moving ideas of great cultural significance out of the studio setting and bringing them to life in the public domain.
