Killingworth Lavender Farm First In State To Get Solar SmartFlower System

KILLINGWORTH, CT - A lavender farm in Killingworth is the first in the state to install an all-in-one photovoltaic solar system, the Middletown Press reported. The solar SmartFlower system will generate nearly 100 percent of the farm's power.

Lavender Pond Farm is only the second in the nation to install this system, according to the Middletown Press. It was acquired by couple and co-owners Chris and Denise Salafia with the help of a grant.
