CLINTON, CT — Clinton Police have identified the victim in Thursday's fatal accident on Route 81 as Andrew Asermely, 60, of Killingworth. Police said Asermely was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle head-on collision due to the significant injuries he sustained in the accident. The crash occurred at about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, on Route 81 near Rocky Ledge Drive in Clinton. The operator of the second vehicle, Deidre Koziel, 48, of Middletown, also sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated at Yale New Haven Hospital, according to Clinton Police.
