Legislature Considers Finishing Route 11
State leaders also are mulling making the highway a toll road.

The General Assembly will take up a proposal to complete the long-unfinished Route 11 in Colchester and bring the divided highway to New London where it would connect with Interstate 95. The state also is considering adding tolls to Route 11, the Hartford Courant is reporting today. If approved, completing the road would make it easier for residents in the region, including East Haddam and Haddam, to drive to New London. Read the full story here.
