Letter to the Editor: In Support of Cindy Cartier

Cindy's energy, vitality and spirit is remarkable, proven and effective.

To the Editor:

I'm pleased to support Cindy Cartier for the CT Senate and urge you to vote for her on November 6. Cindy's energy, vitality and spirit is remarkable, proven and effective. Her elected roles on the Guilford Board of Education and Selectmen as well as her term on the Planning & Zoning Commission have challenged conventional wisdom, fought for responsible taxation and proved her ability to work cooperatively and effectively. Her determination established a Town of Guilford wellness policy and programs that have brought better habits and health to town employees and as a result will reduce the long term utilisation of the town's health insurance fund and reduce it's tax burden. Learn more at cindycartier.com

As a new business and property owner in Killingworth, I want action to support farms and small business: not adding to our burdens and being stonewalled in Hartford by politics. Cindy knows what it is like to work long and hard, and she has an entrepreneurial spirit with her husband Richard who own a small business together in addition to her training and work in corporate law.

Knocking on thousands of doors and being willing to face and research hard questions is just one of her strengths. Cindy's willingness to outreach in meaningful ways speaks volumes, and when combined with her knowledge and passion can only mean our district will be fairly represented everyday.

Our district needs a younger energetic Senator. Please get out and vote for Cindy for the 12th Senate seat.

Thank you, Keith Bishop
