Local Musicians Unite for East Haddam Land Trust
East Haddam Land Trust presents "Musical Bridges" to provide fun and funding for materials for a new footbridge.
Celebrate the middle of summer on August 24, 6:30 pm to 10 pm along the peaceful banks of the Connecticut River on the Goodspeed Theatre Lawn. East Haddam Land Trust presents Musical Bridges, an all-ages, unique event organizing local musicians in a pick-up band format. Musicians will perform familiar songs within a structure that allows room for improvising and spontaneity.
There is no charge to attend this event, but East Haddam Land Trust will gladly accept donations to help fund materials for a new footbridge crossing the Eightmile River at the start of a newly created Richard Goodwin Trail - a ten-mile trail that runs from East Haddam to East Lyme. In addition to learning about this new trail, you will have the opportunity to learn about recreation opportunities on other local public lands.
Food may be purchased on site from The Gelston House, which is donating all hamburger and hot dog proceeds to the Land Trust for the new bridge materials. Another generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has pledged to match all donations up to a total amount of $1,000!
