Local researchers have found that Lyme disease MAY be sexually transmitted, as their study found the Lyme spirochete in specific body fluids. The Lyme pathogen is closely related to syphilis, which is also a spirochete and acts similarly in many ways. Most people know that syphilis is sexually transmitted.
