Man, 85, Dies After House Fire In Haddam: Report

HADDAM, CT — Donald Thody, 85, died at an area hospital after fire crews battled a blaze on Plains Road Friday afternoon, the Middletown Press reported.

As fire crews battled the fire, they found Thody and gave him treatment, the Press reported.

Thody died as a result of smoke inhalation, the Press reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. NBC CT reported that officials don't believe there was a criminal element to the fire.
