Man Sentenced for Assault on Haddam Group Home Resident

Kevin Bombardier of Ansonia will serve 2 years, plus an additional 3 years probation, for his viscous attack back in April of 2011.

 

Kevin Bombardier, 29, of 156 Beaver St. in Ansonia pled guilty to second-degree assault on an elderly person, following the incident last year. He was sentenced in Middletown Court on Thursday.

According to a report in The Middletown Press, the victim in the attack, a resident of , suffered broken facial bones, bleeding on the brain and damage to several vertebrae. The victim has been reported as continuing to have problems because of the injuries, the article stated.

Bombardier is reported to have a history of mental health issues and must comply with any mental health treatment recommended by the office of Adult Probation as part of his probation terms.
