In Support of Mark Walter

Over the last year I have had to good fortune to work closely with Mark in my capacity as the new Chairman of the Economic Development Commission.  I find Mark to be personable, a skilled manager and above all a seemingly tireless worker. I have witnessed Mark at many an evening board meeting, this despite an already heavy schedule.  

Mark has also proved himself a deft listener, something I believe is critical for someone in his position.  When discussing issues or plans he is as keen to take input from others, rather than rely on a top-down, heavy-handed management style.  Mark also does not hesitate to take definitive action when it is required.  In particular I feel Mark did an excellent job (as did all our Town and Emergency Management Officials) in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

For these reasons, despite my party affiliation, I am endorsing Mark Walter for re-election for First Selectman of East Haddam.
