Multiple Cars Broken Into In Haddam-Area: Police

All the victims told police they left their vehicles unlocked.

Nine vehicle break-ins and one stolen car were reported to the Haddam Resident Troopers Office on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

β€œThis occurred during the overnight hours,” TFC Larry Morello said in a press release. β€œThe victims stated that they left their vehicles unlocked.”

The alleged thieves stoleΒ money, a laptop, an iPad and other electronics.

Alleged Vehicle Theft and Break-Ins

The Chester Resident Trooper Office investigated a stolen motor vehicle from their town during the overnight hours on Tuesday. The vehicle was unlocked, Morello said.

The Essex Resident Trooper Office investigated three car break-ins and a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicles that were targeted were left unlocked.

β€œWith this recent rash of car break-ins, I would like to remind all residents to lock their vehicles at all times and secure their personal belongings,” Morello said. β€œPlease report any suspicious vehicle(s) or person(s) to State Police Troop-F immediately at 860-399-2100 with any information that you can gather such as: clothing description, make and model, color of vehicles and a license plate.”
