New Principal to Start at Killingworth Elementary
Dennis Reed will officially take over as Principal as of July 1, 2013.

Dennis Reed has been appointed as the new Killingworth Elementary School Principal effective July 1, 2013.
Reed was chosen after a search and interview process which commenced during the month of April. The search and selection committees were made up of RSD17 Board of Education members, parents, faculty, staff and administrators.
Previously, Reed taught as an elementary classroom teacher in New York for 4 years. He is currently in his 12th year of teaching third grade in Old Saybrook.
Reed received a BS from Elmira College, an MS in Reading from State University in Cortland, NY and also received his 6th year from the University of Connecticut.
Reed holds the honor of having been District Teacher of the Year for Old Saybrook in 2009-10. Reed resides in Clinton with his wife and 3 children.
Reed will take over from Judy Seldner, who has been the acting Interim Principal for the school.
