The newspaper reported the owner is retiring. The bakery, located on 96 Lebanon Ave. near Route 2, was a notable venue for area residents including those in East Haddam and East Hampton. The restaurant was popular for breads and cakes, and it offered online ordering as well, <a href="http://www.colchesterbakery.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">its website states</a>.
