RSD 17 Education Budget Passes

In Haddam, the referendum passed by 6 votes. In Killingworth, it passed by 120 votes.

 

There was a low voter turnout on Tuesday night at both the Haddam and Killingworth polls to vote on the proposed 2012-2013 shared budget. Between the two towns, a total of just over 1200 votes were cast.

Despite the low turnout, the RSD Education Budget of $38,894,732.84 was passed by voters in both towns.

In Haddam:

  • Yes: 385
  • No:  379

Voter turnout of total registered Haddam voters was about 13%.

  • Yes: 287
  • No:  167

Voter turnout of total registered Killingworth voters was about 10%

The results aren't official, but as of Tuesday night, it seems the budget has passed.
